MAYI Founder : Master Manisekaran

Master Manisekaran, the founder of Malaysian Yoga Society (MYS) and Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors (MAYI),
has 35 years experience in yoga and is one of the world’s leading exponents of yoga.

He propagates some of the most effective yogic training, adhering to the age old techniques and possesses in depth
knowledge of psychology, yoga therapy, the healing sciences, yogic philosophy and the meditative science.

He is also a master trainer of Ayurvedic Bodyworks and traditional Ayurveda;
and also an exponent in the secret art of Varma (Marma) vital points immobilisation
and resuscitation (used in self defense, as well as therapy), which is the mother of all martial arts.

As an active practitioner of all different branches of yoga, i.e. Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Bakti Yoga.
He has more than 15 years experience as a full time yoga instructor.

He spearheads the growing yoga movement in Malaysia
and also has extensive business and management experiences
including leading a start up corporation into a multi-national concern operating in 6 countries.

MAYI Association

Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors (MAYI) is a non-governmental organisation, registered under the Societies Act of Malaysia.  MAYI has always been a vision of its founder, Master Mani Sekaran, who is a leading yoga master with more than 20 years of experience in the ancient science of life.

The main aim of this neutral association is to unite all Malaysian yoga instructors to a common understanding of yoga by acting as a central body of standardisation for yoga teaching techniques as well as updating and upgrading instructor members through a variety of yoga workshops and courses. Courses include internationally recognised certification for new and existing instructors, as well as opportunities for practical training. By becoming a member of MAYI, the sky’s the limit with a world of opportunities in the yoga teaching scene both locally and internationally.

The Logo of Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors (MAYI) demonstrates the objective of imparting the knowledge of different types of Yoga i.e. Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bakti Yoga and the common practices under each type of yoga – Asana (Yoga Postures), Pranayama (Breathing Techniques), Dharana (Concentration) and Dhyana (Meditation) to yoga instructors.
