About KL Kids Festival

Combining the concept of edutainment and family bonding within the urban vicinity of the MECC—located off Jalan Duta—the maiden event is a platform for parents, school-aged children, and experts in educational services to come together.

Endorsed by the Malaysian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Tourism, the festival combines the creative method of learning in arts, dance, and music, with the systemic practice in science and technology. Spanning a variety of programmes like the story-telling show of the Go!Go!Go! cast, the four-day festival offers a well-rounded learning environment that coaches young urbanites in the topics of academics as well as the extracurricular.

Divided into five sections that categorise the performances and learning segments, visitors may dance along to the musical numbers at the Main Stage, be mystified at the magic show of Magic Wonderland, attend a class on percussion at the Music Lab, or relive the age of the dinosaurs at the Superspace world. Weary parents may find respite at the Hometown Square where food and refreshments are sold, and where younger siblings may take refuge for an afternoon’s nap.
